Hotrod28 Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Thanks Chris for looking in on the progress . I am pulling out all the knowledge of modeling to try to pull this one off but i dont know if i will go back to the smaller scale lol Darryl. Thanks Jeremy for the kind words and the Wilder the better . Thank you kindly Bill it means a lot coming from a master builder if you dont mind me saying so and your Dragster it is hard to tell if its a moder or the real 1.1 great stuff . Doing my best Rob or trying too and Doorslamers & Pro Mods are so awsome . I am thinking of doing one of Zappias Rat HQ Monaro in 1/16 , make a Resin mould and go from their and the Van Checkmate was always a favourate of mine on the show circuit as i had a couple of EH,s in the years gone by I am a street rodder now thanks mate see ya .
Mooneyzs Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Thanks Chris for looking in on the progress . I am pulling out all the knowledge of modeling to try to pull this one off but i dont know if i will go back to the smaller scale lol Darryl. Darryl.... I think you are doing a killer job on is build. I know what you mean on not going back to a smaller scale. 1/16th scale is my favorite for drag racing builds. I love how much easier it is to do detailing on the bigger sizes. I am looking forward to more progress on this.
Hotrod28 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Hi just a little update. I tell you it is real nerve racking cutting open doors on a good body and then to start on the body bracing so here we go.
Hotrod28 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Making the pillar out of brass and bolt tabs to hold the body on so will be adding more all along the bottom and back of body and a full floor pan in and out so lots to go . Just a bit of a break on the chassis to do the body mounts and to cast up some parts before they become fixtures on the P/M.
mariojr Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Amazing build...I always wanted to build one of these but never knew where or how to even get started

Hotrod28 Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 What do you guys think about the rear brakes .
MicroNitro Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I love the rotors, If you do not mind I think I will start doing the ones I make that way.
Magic Photos Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Very nice work still not sure of myself to do a brass chassis.
stump Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Ooooooh, see what I been missing in my absence. Darryl, incredible craftsmanship on display right here lad. GREAT work! The intricate brass fabrication is mind blowing mate, look forward to seeing more as it happens.
TedsModeling Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Looks really intricate and detailed, Darryl - just how I like it. My hat's off to you for using brass in place of styrene. Too bad paint will cover it all up and nobody can appreciate it.
Mooneyzs Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 This build is sure coming along very nice. Awesome work.
John Teresi Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Darryl……..your fabrication is AWESOME man……..looking forward to the next up-date
