mnwildpunk Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I have been able to find any 3000- 12,000 grit sanding films or clothes around here but I did find these will they work for sanding paint layers smooth?
Gluhead Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) I'm partial to these: http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-664/Assorted-grit-Polishing-system/Detail.bok and these: http://www.micromark.com/soft-touch-sanding-and-polishing-pad-set-set-of-6,7787.html Edited March 16, 2013 by Gluhead
slusher Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Hobby lobby carries the same pads as micromark. they are very good and you can get 40 percent off...
Art Anderson Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Any Micro Mesh polishing kit (they package those for any number of suppliers, have been for about 25 years now!) will have the polishing cloths you are looking for. Try hobby shops, and if not there, Micro-Mark Tools (they do business online). Art

Amazon.com has a set of 8 cloths and a foam sanding block. Grits are 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12000. http://www.amazon.com/MICRO-MESH-SANDING-SHEETS-INTRODUCTORY/dp/B000H6HIK2 Edited March 18, 2013 by Captain Obvious
