"Open Question" About this Forum

Hey i was just wondering.....when one looks at a thread..and they see just how many, Views & Replies it has had....Does that counter just work for us members?

Say if a Vistor (Non-member) reads the thread...does that count as a View.?....

Just Curious...That's All....

If I recall no.. the view counter is guests too. but I could be wrong.. when I had my forum up I was running a much older version.

Oh well sure somebody outa know....

I agree with you....I think the views count along with the guest....

I don't really know, and I'm not even sure if when I read topics they count as an additional read. I've seen topics which I for sure have read, and they still have zero reads. I'm pretty sure I unchecked the 'Cloak' option in My Profile, but I guess I should double-check.

I wouldn't rely on those counters being too accurate. The BBS has the notion of a session independent of your login status. But, we don't necessarily keep those counts updated. Too much overhead, and we'd like to think that people would rather read the material than count it.
