just picked up the metal foil tape from homedepot and going to try that anyone ever use it ?? cant find flocking yet

Both pgood sites scale dreams is a lil less in shipping but hobbylinc has BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH near anything ud ever need! Iv never used foil tape but have hears of some using with good results

if there is a Michael's near you, they have embossing powder in their scrapbooking section that other builders here have used as a substitute for flocking and they found it at a better price with more color selection.

you can also find wire in several sizes in the jewelry section to detail your engine/chassis.

additionally, they carry an interesting product called Rub-n-Buff with is good for simulating some metallic finishes.
