rollover Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I'm building a 3100 to match one my son is building for his father-in-law. I bought the kit off of ebay but it did'nt have directions. No problems until now I need to install the firewall and inner fender panels. Are they attached to the frame or the body? I can see locating marks on both. Thanks in advance.
Aaronw Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 If its the AMT stock 3100 glue kit I can check the instructions when I get home tonight, I've been working on one myself. AMT made several versions of that truck, a stock snap kit, a stock glue kit and a custom kit.
patrol52 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I attached the firewall and inner fenders to the cab, then as an assembly attached that to the frame.
lonewolf Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Jeff, With the instructions in front of me, I can tell you that the assembled interior is installed in the cab first, then the firewall is put in place. The wheel wells are attachedto a mounting point on the firewall. The cab is then finished (windows, grille, headlights) and attached to the frame as a unit. Hope this helps you.
