What 1:1 wheels are they meant to represent? I'm fairly familiar with a lot of wheels & mfrs from the time, but I'm clueless as to what these are.

I think there suppose to be wire wheels.. because if you black wash the base and put it together it does look like wire wheels

Interesting if true. AMT did some extremely nice wire wheels for the '65(?) Riviera - much more impressive than these IMNSHO.

The only wheel that comes to mind to me at least would have been the Aluminum wheel that Budd manufacturing did for Pontiac , ( 1961-4 ) They had an "Early Ford " pattern as the wheel lugs were in the outer part of the rim. The wheel itself was built that way as the brake drum was part of the wheel too.
