semijoe Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 hey guys, i not sure if its ok to post this , because when im done it will an r/c. but there nothing stock on this truck from a kit . there a cross between , tdr , rc4wd, tamiya and some scratch parts well its been awhile . but wait to see what i have instored for this project. i started with a bruiser stock chassis i cant use the center cross member, or the front cross member rc4wd has dual shock mounts for the tf2, but you can also put them on the bruiser chassis. i only had to drill one hole today ive install a 12mm hub convesion kit made by rc4wd part # Z-S0107 this will let me put any style tire and rim on it. but if you deside to keep the stock axles , rc4wd also make a new style rim for the bruiser only Z-W0030 also if you look closely, you ll notice that all the white plastic parts that come with the bruiser kit is black . tamiya makes a complete black set i picked up some rc4wd 90mm shocks (z-d0002) , i beleive the red is discontinued but they do come in silver and black ive installed 2x in each corner also the hub nuts match (Z-S0756)
semijoe Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 so these next pictures show a lot to get the 502 in it. i had to take alittle off the front cross member next i had to move the steering bell crank forward. steering works perfect i have red rod tips coming in. this will make it look so much better here's a more of an overview im useing rc4wd steel drive shafts (VVV-S0004, VVV-S0002) i prefitted the 502 and made some adjustments and also made some motor mounts not sure if any body ever saw one of these engine , but there made by rc4wd ( Z-S0059 ) the 540 can motor fits right inside it and has a built in transfer case next is a radiator, hose, hood scoops and fake electric fans added pull some tires and rims, these are from rc4wd ( Z-T0070, Z-W0135 )
semijoe Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 thank guys! made a weight box added some more detail alittle more on the wiring little more done today front weight box is done rear bumper and lenses came in all red tips came in
semijoe Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 started on the interior all done with the red truck
semijoe Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 even though the floor isnt done, i still need to work in the shop. i upgrade my pull trucks brakes from drum to disc hooker headers , hooked me up with a set of zoomies, i beleive i have enough room to fit them baer brake systems , set me up with a set of quad caliber disc brakes. i also beleive i can make these work on this truck. tryin something new. both companies said it will take about a week to get here also ive knowest, im taking on to much paint fumes lol!!

semijoe Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 today i removed the chevy 502 engine, reason is i need to add electric motor to it, with a little help from john cena lol!, i was able to it quiickly. also while i have it out i will add the zoomie headers when they get here. time to add some electronic to it too.
semijoe Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) so i received in my baer disc brake kit in from shapeways, really happy with it and the material is awesome for this to work on my r/c truck, i needed to make mounts on the rear axle, havent done the fronts yet , for the bruise rear, it has 2 screws that bolt the rear halves together, which great, so i made the the mounting . next i have to make mounting for the disc caliber. so i went with like a half moon . next mounting the disc itself to the toyota bruiser hub, once i did all this, it all bolted right up. the disc moves freely in the caliber and the rims just misses the caliber so everything went well for the rears Edited May 1, 2013 by semijoe
semijoe Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 passenger side discs and calibers are mounted and the wheels spin freely . another good day
semijoe Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 thanks to tdr i was able to buy , mod, and fit disc brakes and calibers to my tamiya bruiser still need to install the brake lines, hopefully to i will have them made shes also ready for engine installation
semijoe Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 today, ive installed the engine , hooked up the steering servo, made some adjustments here and there , next is the electronics
