W-Machine Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 That Maverick looks real nice. Having bought the '69 Olds 442 convertible from Missing Link, I can vouch for the quality of their work.
George Bojaciuk Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 FWIW, I'm working on a then and now article for the magazine (surprise Gregg!). I found suitable bucket seats in a '79 Monza kit. I have two of these kits and they are nicely made. One of the cars will be a Pro Touring variety and the other will be a day two version. I' m really having fun with this and it should make for an interesting read! So....stay tuned!
thatz4u Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 a great starting point to build a Shelby Maverick...http://www.maverick.to/shelbydemexico.php
VRM Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Actually, its not... Start with a Comet. I'm already working on it myself. In fact...I bought a Comet kit from Kevin at the NNL East with the express purpose of doing this car. a great starting point to build a Shelby Maverick...http://www.maverick.to/shelbydemexico.php
dh1908 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) The Missing Link resin Maverick is top notch!! My e-x had a 72 Grabber. Bench seat, 200cu 6 auto, Grabber Lime. Bought it new. Wrecked twice in 2 weeks. Hit from the rear, the following week a guy turned against the light and trashed the front. The resin kit even has the correct wheels hers had on it. I've never seen them in any Ford kits. I've emailed Keith Marks several times with no response for the decals. He has a web page, but is he even still in business??? Edited August 3, 2014 by dh1908
