Good point, there, too. I would have expected a Slant 6.

I just watched a little of the movie on YouTube. And it looks like the car maybe a 318 car. In a few scenes it looks like a V eight emblem is on the front fender. Also I noticed the car is a A/C car to!

I think some one mentioned something like that (about the V8 emblem) on the other forum, so the movie car could well have had a 318...

The Valiant that was in the movie had a 318 V8 with factory A/C. If you advance to the 4 minute and 38 second mark of the movie it will show you the dash with the factory A/C at 4 minutes and 40 seconds.

This concludes that David Mann's Valiant did indeed have a 318 V8 with factory A/C..

Slant six cars also had a/c from the factory. But then again I dubt that they would use an anemic slant six to do do this film since its just one long chase lol.

I'm sure a V8 car would have easily outrun any kind of truck, supercharged or not...

Regardless, very nice tribute car and great movie...A true classic B)

Hi Jason,

your "moviecar" looks close to the origial. Well done, good job on the transformation to the 4 door!

One thing i will give you as a tip - no critism: use tamiya clear colors (for example red and orange) for Sidemarkers, turnsignal or taillights. those colors are looking mor realistic then the paint you used for the lights ;)

Why do people keep calling the OP Jason, LOL. Looks like James to me :P

I was wondering that myself...

Anyway Thankyou all for the comments.

I am finishing incomplete builds and clearing bench space so that truck might not be too far away... just got 5 to go....
