Hartness53 Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Just curious if this paint can be used on plastic models, the price seems right for me. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...LXVT50&P=SM
Joe Handley Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I have never used the water-based RC paint; however; seeing as how it is water-based, I would think it'd be safe for styrene. If it's anything like the RC paint in rattle cans, though, it will need to be clear-coated because it dries flat. From what I understand, it's relabeled Createx airbrush paint (literally just a different label and name for said color!) that is bumped in price a bit. It will can be airbrused without thinning but it will be a dull finish so you will have to clear it with a good acrilic safe clear and the stuff will be lifted by alchohal based cleaners so beware!
