Evilbenny Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I have been in this hobby for over 20 years and have only seen two 1/16 flatbed trailers. They were in my late Uncle's collection and they have been passed down to me. One is complete but has broken pieces due to poor handling and the other is about halfway built and the rest of the parts are M.I.A. As far as my perspective is they might as well be Unicorns but, my question is, are they "Rare" as in were there many made? How hard will it be to find parts? How many different types of trailers were made for the 1/16 scale trucks? Any info would be appreciated.
Bonekrosha Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) I've only seen the Flatbeds too. They do show up on E-bay from time to time for around a starting bid of say, $50, they sell for between $75 & $100 or so. I thought I'd heard they are to be re-issued as with the Pete & KW re-issues. Casey Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 The Monogram Fruehauf flatbed was reissued as part of the SSP series a decade ago or so, so they're not rare, just desirable.
sjordan2 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Here's a flatbed currently on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-16-MONOGRAM-FRUEHAUF-FLATBED-TRAILER-26-LONG-NEVER-STARTED-KIT-VINTAGE-/300904437618?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item460f4d5772
