competitor to the V10 in what regard, a straight line? I can put $10k into my pickup truck and make it a competitor with the v10. That fat loppy challenger won't be keeping up with a Viper any time soon where a steering wheel is needed.

Especially for the automotive industry, in which 1970 1/2 was a model year, if I remember correctly.

the model years are always presented during the previous year. I think what they meant is it will be presented as the 2015 model, when it is presented next year. Probably at LA auto show or something. I know you know this, I just had to write this to make myself feel better

I believe you are correct...due to a UAW strike if I'm not mistaken which extended the 1969 model year slightly.

From my understanding, the model year 1970 would run from Summer 1969 to Summer 1970 or so. A car introduced in Spring 1970 would be a 1970½, a car introduced in spring 1964 would be a 1964½, etc. Minor mid-year changes are also usually labelled in ½ increments by enthusiasts, if not by the manufacturer directly.

My niece's husband has had two blown Hemi's from Chrysler.

Both in his Challenger and both BLEW in the same way. Just cruising down interstate at 75mph and BANG! rod out the side!

5500 miles on the Original and only a little over 77 miles on the second one. Both the same rod!

While he doesn't treat it like a baby he doesn't abuse it either. Car has been dealer maintained from day one.

Chrysler is trying to figure out the issue.

The other problem is that is it going into new cars. The last new cars I had any interest in were built in the early 1970's...

And, oh yeah, it's gonna be in a Chrysler.

Do you know why Chrysler has always been the third largest of the "Big Three" automakers?

Cuz they have always made the third best car.
