southpier Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 found out today that a technician I know had an aneurysm a couple of months ago. short version; he's in rehab and is starting to walk again. kid's about 30, wife, house, two children. perspective. we need not lose it. be thankful for every day, lads.
Tom Geiger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Agreed Joe. My cousin with two small children has cancer. He's doing okay but has been given five years. Doctors are just hoping that medical science discovers a cure in the meantime. A modeler known to some of us lost his 20 year old son this past year. I just saw on Rock Center a gathering of young women who lost limbs in that stupid Boston bombing. Me? I've been out of work for a while and sometimes feel low about it. Then I think of the people above, the real life issues and permanence of their situations, and I realize that all I need to do is find a job and my life will be whole again. Puts things in perspective real fast!
signguy2108 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 A lot of the time we call a BAD DAY if a part doesn't fit or the paint messes up. Just tonite Oklahoma hit with tornados for the second time in a week. I lost a 15 year old son June 6th, 2000, 4 days before his 16th birthday. (will be tuff around my house next week). Then all my heart problems, died on the operating table 3 times, stayed in a coma for three weeks after an aneurisym. But ever time I walk though my heart docs office or turn on the TV, I see someone in worse shape than I am! There are so many things in life we take for granite that we can lose in a split second....
Ridge Rider Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Agreed, it can always be worse but being human I;m ready for the better. Best wishes to those that need it.
