RatRod
Hi all!!! Another newbie here, but a long time builder. Here is my first in a series of vintage box art models. I started with a 1963 issue of the AMT '32 Victoria, and set out to build it as the custom version on the box end. It's built straight out of the box with only two aftermarket details. I used Shabo white walls, and a photo etched gage cluster. No extra wiring, just a good clean build like we wish we could have done back then!!! Can you build it from the current limited "jalopy" reissue? Edited October 24, 2007 by Pontiac Ed
Jairus
Beautiful build! I love box art builds and I think we see too few of them. Also, could you please put your name in the sig. box found in My Controls section. We use our names in this forum. Thanks!
RatRod
Thanks guys!!! I have more to show!!! Ed, the paint I used was HoK lime gold pearl. Even though I used good primer, the 44+ year old plastic didn't like it very well....lol. Oh, and Jairus...I added my name!!! (But don't tell anybody)
Modellpularn
Wow, that's really beautiful! Looks so 60's with that paint. Kind of looks like the paint on my Li'l Merrod...not quite finished yet. Keep up the good work!
Matt T.
WOW! That is so, sooo COOL! I love the early-60s look. The paint is gorgeous. No engine wiring needed here...it's perfect. And yes, someone please confirm if those bobbed fenders and American mag rears are in the latest Jalopy release!
