martinfan5 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Finally got my hands on a couple of the kits, so its time to add one more WIP thread for the 1990 Mustang, I am going to be doing mine in Arizona DPS (Highway Patrol) markings, I am not going to correct the roof height on this one, I just want to build it out of the box. So, not much to show as I just got home from the club meeting and finally sat down and looked through the kit. I need to contact Revell and have them send me the clear lightbar lense's .
LongRoofNut Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Other than what people have already stated, this kit is going together pretty well. It is helping me bounce over my "builders block".
timc Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Jonathan, could you post a pic of the exhaust please.I'm really interested in where it exits at the back. More or less if it is the mustang shotguns or just generic turn downs. Thanks bigtim.

martinfan5 Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Have not done much, but I get a lot of work on the engine done, I used Tamiya XF66 light grey, and alcald on the trans stripped as much as I could from the wheels body in first round of primer, removed the mold lines, accent the panel lines and I got the spotlight hole drilled out, and another round of white primer and chassis in primer
freakshow12 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Looks good. Don't forget to sand the writing off the gas tank

martinfan5 Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 I have done a little bit more work, not a lot, finished up the engine for the most part, I repainted the valve covers and intake to a more correct color of silver-ish grey And painted the body, I used Tamiya pure white and the body after a quick polish, no clear, dont need it to be all nice shiny, and got the black trim painted, I have some area that need to be cleaned up, touched up
martinfan5 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Started on the interior, I used Testors sea blue A/B, to its looks like a close match, it could be completely wrong though
