Bruce Poage Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 At Heartland Nationals I purchased this resin body. Information suggests using AMT or Revell '32 Ford to complete. I'm checking to see if anyone has had actual experience with the compatability of either Revell or Revell Monogram '32 kits. Thanks.
maltsr Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Hi Bruce I built this about 18 months ago using the current Revell '32 kits as a donor. The lower cowl area was a little wide on mine, tried to fix this by heating up the area in hot water, then squeezing together whilst immersed in cold water. Seemed to be ok for a while, but I it has expanded again with age (don't we all ). I used the interior from the Speedwagon kit, fit quite well as I recall, other than that, the body matched up well with the fenders/hood etc. Here's the under glass link http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52712&hl=%2B1932+%2Bb400 I created a build thread on my model club's site here, more info for you http://modelpetrolhead.proboards.com/thread/544/another-1932-ford-on-rails Let me know if I can help any more, this is one of my favourite builds and all-time 1;1 cars.
