sports850 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) This is my uncles 1964 Mustang that he's just got on the road (first drive and he found out the fuel guage doesn't work , hence the roadside assistance ) , I'm building it in scale for him using the AMT round 2 1966 Mustang as it was the closest I can find but I need to find the wheels the same as on this . I know them as "12 slotters" and know they were used on various Australian Fords from the factory but no idea if they were used in other markets . Does anyone know if they were ever released in a 1:24/25 model or if anyone makes them in resin ? Any or all help greatly appreciated . Edited July 13, 2013 by sports850
Art Anderson Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Those GT wheels were in the AMT '68 Torino, '69 Torino, and I believe Modelhaus does them in resin (plated). Art
Blown03SVT Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 They where also I'm the mpc issue of the 69 mustang with the gt caps
sports850 Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Thank's for the info guy's , the search begins now
Fabrux Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 They were also in the AMT 69 Cougar and Revell 69 Mustang, if that helps... None of them had centrecaps like your uncle's, however.
sports850 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 Thank's Chris , I thought it would be pushing it to get the centre caps the same but so long as the rims themselves are the same it'll be close enough .
zenrat Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) Ian, i've got the AMT Cougar unbuilt and as I rarely use the stock wheels if it's got 12 slotters they're yours. I'd go down and look now but i'm watching the cricket... I'll look tomorrow. If you don't hear from me it means I forgot - nag me. Fred Edited July 14, 2013 by zenrat
zenrat Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Yep. They are still in there. They've got plain centres. If you want them e-mail me with your current address and i'll send them. Fred
sports850 Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 That's brilliant , thank's Fred , will PM you my address .
zenrat Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I found some more. The Revell '68 mustang GT has a set with GT caps on them.
