'61 Chevy Stepside Shop Truck...change of pace, first mockup

I haven't done many trucks, and I needed a change. Got some buggered and bodged gluebomb junk....old AMT screwbottom '61 annual, plus bed and fenders from a '57.

A little cleanup and some fitting and figuring to see what will work where...

This would be a torsion-bar front suspension chassis in 1:1, so I'm deciding which way to go with it...earlier or later. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a kit torsion-bar Chevy chassis available.

My dad had a 1960 Stepside! I cant wait to see more on this, brings back fond fond memories.

Should be interesting. I remember building one of those when it was new because I thought those high front openings were different.

I used the bed and frame from a 72 Chevy and the custom fenders from the 53 Ford truck to make this 61 a stepside.
