johnbuzzed Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Familiar story (married life is all about compromise ); very nice model. Great color combination. Gotta love those Tamiya paints and the way they polish out.
Porscheman Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 Thank you once again everyone. It's not often that you get to build a model of one of your 1 to 1 cars, even if I didn't get to drive it. LOL
PappyD340 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Al, that thing is shiny enough I believe I could shave in the reflection from here, awesome job dude!!
W-409 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Nice build of quite rarely seen kit. These cars are really nice, I need to build one some day. Your paint work is incredible, so shiny and smooth, just like brand new 1:1 scale car. Overall very nice build, and great story too. Those are always neat to read.
1972coronet Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Al - That is one super Satellite ! It looks great in that FE5 Rallye Red with white interior and top . You know , you could have ordered that Satellite with a 400 HP (383's replacement) and a 4-speed , right ?

A very pretty car, just not what I was dreaming of. Edited July 29, 2013 by Porscheman
Custom Mike Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Al, as neutered as the GTX was by that point, would it really have been that big of a step up from the Satellite other than in name and a bit more horsepower? I had a '71 Road Runner with a 340 4 barrel, and it was a slug (Not to mention it was possessed by Satan, but that's another story), my 318 2 barrel '72 Charger was faster, and it loved my and didn't want me dead! Any way you look at it, it's a beautiful model, what ever happened to the 1:1?
geetee66 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 This is new to me...I don't think I've seen either a kit or a 1:1 of these cars. The paint really is very well done. A crisp build all-round.
