Don't if I should have posted here or Drag Racing. I'm looking for detailed photos of Swamp Rat 19 specifically the engine and cockpit area. I'm wanting to do a detailed build of Revell's 1/16 scale Swamp Rat 19.The only clear photo I can find is on Garlits' website and its a 3/4 front shot with no great detail. If anyone has any clear detailed photos or know where I can find clear detailed photos, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

"Swamp Rat 19" really isn't sufficient information for a non-symantically-aware search engine. Without additional modifiers like "Garlits" or "dragster" added to the search-word string, or trying more focused word strings that would help the SE to understand better what you want (I tried "Garlits 19 dragster" too, and "Garlits rear-engine dragster" for example) you'll get mostly irrelevant results. :(

Unfortunately, those modifiers and others I tried do narrow the results to Garlit's cars, but without doing what google calls an 'advanced', exclusionary search (which I didn't take the time for), the results are not focused on the SW 19. I'd suggest doing the advanced search, or taking a trip to the Garlits museum in Ocala if all else fails. Looks to be about 150 miles from you. :)

I'd contact Garlits as Bill suggests and ask for material or a chance to photo it yourself. He's very accommodating to fans-especially in person at the museum.

I've been meaning to go to the museum. Our car model club put on a small model show a few years ago at the first Billetproof car show, but we were so busy most of us didn't get a chance to go through the museum. I did do the second best thing last week looking for photos, I emailed them asking for some detailed photos if possible. They haven't responded yet, but hopefully they'll send some. I still plan on making it to the museum, several of my friends said its awesome.
