Overall it's a beaut -- from its grey primer , to its black 'gelcoat' fenders , to its black painted engine compartment , and down to its plain steelies .

While the trunk does bother me to an extent , the gaffe pales in comparison to the rest of this gem :) .

The windshield paper ; does it read to the effect of :"Ship on BOTTOM RACK ONLY!" ? I know of at least one of them that wasn't ; the one which Al Kershenbaum [sp] of Rockville Centre Dodge on Long Island ordered (TorqueFlite model) . It eventually ended up in the care of Speedwin Automotive Engineering , also of L.I.

According to Al "The Big 'K'" , the Dart was , indeed , shipped on the tractor's trailler's top rack ! The driver also refused to offload it , as it was an intimidating vehicle ; shattered door glass (ChemCor) and missing fenders (the fibreglass supplier ran short) which were shipped later on .

Keep up the beautiful work , Michael ! :D

Yes you did do something right! And be proud of that 1st place! But I've noticed, with all the correct detail. Why the GTS seats instead of the A100 seats that they came with?

Need'd to get the lil r/truck kit for those seat's. wasn't gonna do it just for the seat's.

I got a chance to look at an original owner LO23 dart. It had a little chrome piece on the door where the mirror went. I should of took a picture of it but didn't even think of it. I love little detail on original cars.

Mike, you quoted me before I deleted my post. I didn't want you to think that I was getting on your case, so I deleted it. But I see you took my comments in stride. Like I said, you can't argue with a contest win! B)

My first thought, before I read all the comments was, I have seen this car before. Now I know why, that's the way they came. Thanks for the memory. As far as the trunk lid being cut wrong, I have a friend who did the same kind of cut on a '62 Impala. I think his is a contest winner also. Congrats.
