blackbeard Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 dave the pump looks great and that is a big pump
comp1839 Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 did some more work to the pump. made a mounting plate and the final front section to the pump. also painted the front motor plate black. front drive pulley.
comp1839 Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 started making my fittings and lines. i will use fittings from different manufacturers and i will be making some of my own. i started by drilling some .125" brass tubing. using a #32 bit and going to a .125" depth. then i parted them off at .250". the counterbore willl let the rubber tubing fit in the brass while leaving the other end capable of holding the metal tube. home made tubing bender. finished line. this is the pressurized oil feed from the pressure stage of the pump.

Mooneyzs Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 chris, i'm kinda jumping around right now to keep it a little fresh. i was starting to get the soldered brass blues. needed to change it up a little. thanks buddy! Dave... I completely understand about jumping around to something different to keep it fresh and to help you not get burnt out on it. I know I am starting to feel burnt out on these Air Dams on the F/C body and have been debating on pulling my 1/16th scale Front Engine Dragster that I started over 17 years ago and painted right before I started the F/C to get some more work done on it and give me a change of pace from the this build I have been on for 3 years now.
comp1839 Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) thanks ray! chris, i can't wait for you to start your super secret project.....hehe. got some more work done. i finished plumbing the pump. also made some god forsaken tiny decal for the pump sections. i was really impressed with the ability of the printer on these. the fact you can read a word that is about .030" tall (maybe less), just amazes me. the decal is about 1/8" wide.
