What a nice clean job! Great work Bruce. If you don't mind me asking, how do you keep the decals from yellowing on a pristine white car like this? Everyone I've done in the past has yellowed, some badly. The ones I used a lot of setting solution on are the worst.

Thanks for the nice comments - I just used Tamiya TS 26 (pure white ) , good quality decals ( Powerslide or JWTBM ) can't remember which one , did not use any setting solution on these and no clear coat . This was built some time ago and still looks the same as when built . Tamiya is an acrylic lacquer so it may be different if you are using enamel paint. Hope this helps you a bit.

Resurrecting a dead post, but fantastic looking Buick! Question though, what did you do in order to lower it? Might sound like a noob question, but you nailed the stance!

I just lower them the easiest way I can , at the back I cut the coil springs down , and at the front I cut the stub axles off and smooth the area flat and glue on a small flat circle of plasticard , then when you glue on the front wheels on you can adjust them to what ever height you want as the glue sets . This may not be a perfect way of doing it , but it may help.

Great job Bruce. Thanks for the paint and decal info. How did you tone down the chrome rims ? A dark wash ?

The rims and other chrome parts on this were dechromed and redone with Alclad Chrome , it is easy to put too much Alclad on , I just give it a light coat over the black basecoat and it gives this look . Hope this helps .
