MsDano85gt Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) heres a group shot of what I've got going on its a lot to explain i'll break it down in pics and photos if I can figure out how? over a few posts Edited April 30, 2014 by MsDano85gt
freakshow12 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I wish someone would master up a nice 85-6 capri rs. I have 3 1:1s and want to build them. The bubble hatch and rear bumper is the tricky part
MsDano85gt Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 i'll try and snap some closeup pics of the nose of the capris that I put the "mustang" lower valence on from the mpc kits has center marchal foglights that gives the capri the "rs" look but yeah the bubble hatch is gonna be hard to make...... not sure what the 85-86 tail lights look like for the capri
MsDano85gt Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 heres some closeup of the noses of the capri fronts the one in the center is the regular front end without the bottom holes opened up (square holes) the sides are the capri's that I modified with the part that comes in the mpc model foxbody kits 79-84 non svo kits its a front lower facia that looks like the ones found on many capri "rs" cars works out awesome the front of the capri looks so mutch better and sharper with the squared off front fascia vs. the more rounded smaller higher up stock style
MsDano85gt Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Brown "RS" capri on its own looks mean! will be a v8 rs instead of usual "turbo" rs models
MsDano85gt Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 want to build something close to this as well will need some saleen decals hmmmm
jrherald420 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Where did you find the gold rims like the ones that are on the black Mustang by the turbo RS box? They look like a good copy of the 10th anniversary rims found on the 2003 cobra 10th anniv editions. Id like to get a set or 2.
MsDano85gt Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 that black car is actually a mercury capri turbo rs...... setting it up to be a "black cat " edition the rims that are on that car and the maroon (crimson cat) capri in the foreground are rims that can be found in the lindberg 40?? ford convertible kit has a awesome tube chassis and a chevy motor I want to say but yes great rims!
MsDano85gt Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 working along with all these kits to make 2 annivarsary cars one convertable version and one regular
MsDano85gt Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 mercury capri crimson cat and black cat versions "white lightning" coming as well
MsDano85gt Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 my 85 gt what one does when you can't afford a aftermarket cowl hood and your running a carb spacer plate.... get a dented junkyard hood and cut a hole in the hood for "ram" air
MsDano85gt Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 what can be made from leftovers of cutting and splicing of various foxbody's kinda resembles the european "kamei" ford escort??
bigbluesd Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I'm guessing that the lot of this was an eBay find? I'm incredibly jealous. You are drowning in Mustangs!
MsDano85gt Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 thanks alot putting some serious thought and effort into making 85-86 gt style foxbody don't know why they never made a kit of it very popular car in 1:1 by all means
MsDano85gt Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 wish this weather would cooperate so i could get some painting done
Greg Cullinan Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I know it. Between rain and cold,no painting. Always feel like no progress til painf gets done. Your getting there though.
stang_crazy Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) Uh oh looks like I found someone that likes foxes as much as I do LOL. own 5 real ones. Nice looking builds. Edited January 12, 2014 by stang_crazy
