Went to Hobbytown a couple weeks ago and this was in the clearance bin for 17.99 sealed inside....

I'm not big on the stanced scene... I'm more old school back when The Nopi Nationals was big here in Atlanta in 2002 or 2003.... So I'm gonna go with building this as it was owned by a younger guy in his early twenties.... Aftermarket exhaust, lowered suspension, aftermarket racing wheels, etc.

This WAS a curbside kit... I've opened the hood and molded the front pan to the body. I don't own any import kits... So, I'm going to be scratch building the engine for this....

Nice project! My friends and I made the trek to the Nopi Nats from 99-2002. Great times. I agree on being old school..Really love it down South, except for the heat.. Here's a pic of my old Bimmer at the Nats from 01. I sold my BDed Mazda the year before to finance this and promptly cut it up. It was on air in '02 but I lost all pics of it

Got some more done... Stripped the chrome from the window posts and using these rims... Also made a frenched and angled plate box...

Spent the past couple days painting and trying to get this car together...

Paint is citrus green , aluminum painted rims , and chassis is being weathered a bit...
