dantewallace Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 For years I have applied water slides before waxing. This time around I have done what I would say is the best paint job in my 26 years of modeling and I want this to come out perfect. I did all of my wet sanding and am now in the process of polishing. My question is, should I apply my decals after polishing, or should I apply them after my final wax? I plan to use micro sol ,and micro set. Will using either of the two affect whether I choose to apply decals post polish or pre/post wax? Thanks guys!!
bbowser Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I don't know from experience but I wouldn't think decals would stick well to wax?
jaydar Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I put on the decals after clear and before wax. joe.

Wax interferes with the gelatin adhesive on water slide decals--just as it will with the low-tack adhesive on the back side of Bare Metal Foil. Decals first, then wax the model. Art
