richcrabman Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hi guys, not been on here for a while but nice to see the forum is still going strong, and and super models being made. Ok over the weekend a few good films where on and one being every which way but loose, one of my favourate films. And after seeinf this film lots and lots of times,i only just noticed the pickup truck that was pushed into the water. What i seen of it,it was great looking like a brown/bronze in colour and had some nice pinstriping to it. So could someone please tell me what truck this was,and if there is a kit available. Massive thanks, Rich
martinfan5 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 It was a 1977/78 GMC K-1500 http://pics.imcdb.org/0is73/gmcsierraclassic1xxxyz0.5272.jpg Doing a kit of it is some what doable I believe
richcrabman Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 There she is,thanks guys. Now what kit would be the correct one for this build? And there doesn't seem to be much shown of this truck for some reason. So allot of it would be guess work.
chevyfever2009 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 One of these would probley work with some modifications
Fabrux Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Your best bet actually would be to use the Monogram kits. Find a Chevy kit to get the correct body and a GMC Jimmy kit to give you the GMC grille and bush guard. Latest Chevy issue: GMC Jimmy: Edited September 5, 2013 by kataranga
Guest Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I agree with Chris. Instead of buying both kits, you may be able to just trade grilles with someone. Or you could buy the recently reissued GMC pickup with the plow and trade the beds.
richcrabman Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks allot guys, done a eBay.uk serch none of those two kits come up. If anyone finds mongram one on your local eBay please post up the link.
Toner283 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 You could also try putting up a wanted post in the wanted section. I have always had good luck tracking down the stuff I need on here. Plus then there are no epay fee's.
