Ace-Garageguy Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 This is a very nicely produced British documentary about the 1968 running of the 24 Heures du Mans. Though focused somewhat on the John Wyer / Gulf Ford GT40 team, it's filled with great footage of then-contemporary cars, including the Howmet turbines. No silly blang-blang music or hysterical, idiotic narration to distract from the feel of the period. Worth watching for anyone interested in sports-prototypes from one of the golden ages of motorsports.

935k3 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) I have watched this before and it is very good. Note what the narrator says about the guy hit in the pits, "that's what he gets for getting the way". Since youtube took off their 10 minute limit there is allot of very good documentaries. There is a great bunch on rallying. Like this one which is 1 hour and 43 minutes long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mewziTaXDJA Edited September 6, 2013 by 935k3
LokisTyro Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) You can't call yourself an enthusiast until you've seen this movie! A bit exaggerated but it's a pretty standard must-see movie. People should watch "Winning" as well. EDIT: wait a minute, that's not the movie LeMans, is it... Edited September 6, 2013 by LokisTyro
