Harry P. Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 LOL, that's right a Saintly halo. I like that. I make no political statement. I just thought the photo was pretty funny with that "halo" over his head. Plus, he was on my avatar list...
Dr. Cranky Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 You've been some very famous Harry's lately, but you will always be OUR Harry. LOL.
ChrisBcritter Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Trust me... this movie isn't worth seeing. Just look for the cars when they show up on imcdb.org. And here you go: http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1343092-The-Great-Gatsby.html Edited October 8, 2013 by ChrisBcritter
KingSix Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I drive my wife crazy by constantly pointing out that sort of thing when we're watching TV or at the movies. ;-) For our friends & family who are not car nuts, it's enough for them if the vehicles, clothing, or buildings just *look* correct. Drives me crazy, though... I'm the same way with military movies, specifically movies that involve my Marine Corps .. makes me nuts ...
Art Anderson Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Dusenberg SSJ Dual Cowl phaeton in canary yellow/ Well, A Duesenberg Model J at any rate. Numerous normally aspirated Model J's were "updated" at factory branches (sales offices) with SJ outside exhaust pipes and chrome-plated hood screens (and several J's were supercharged after the fact, both at factory branches and at some point in a restoration). SSJ refers to the two short wheelbase (125") SSJ roadsters which were built with the ultimate in SJ engines (dual stage supercharger, dual carburetors, and high speed intake manifolds) one for actor Clark Gable, the other for his friend and rival, Gary Cooper--both built in 1935.
