tony9409 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I'm a newbie here to the forum, but not to building. I'm working on a build of the Don Prudhomme Carefree dragster and have a few questions I hope the more knowledgeable folks here can answer. I'll post some pictures soon. Any help on the items below would help. Thanks. 1) the dual oil filters that would be behind the driver seat are being replaced with resin ones. How best to mount them and what color were they ? 2) the "Mongoose" dragster I'm using as a base has slicks that I've heard are too big, What aftermarket ones aremore to what they should be 3) any tips on brake lines 4) what is the routing of the fuel lines to the tank and their color Tony
Daddyfink Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Actually, the slicks are pretty close to what they should be for that scale and era of car. If it was running Lee filters, they would be white http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60984
Muncie Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 The slicks in the kit are very close - Monogram made the slicks wider for the funny cars and prostocks in the '80's - Competition Resins CRT-510 are the same width as the slicks in the earlier dragsters and have sidewall detail.
