Value of this kit

Hi guys,

it's me again

I have this kit of the 1976 Mustang II Mach I from Doyusha in 1:24 but I can't find any other kits which are for sale so I ask me which value the kit has. Does one of you can say me more?

The box art looks cool . How does it look indies the box?

I checked the guide I have but it does not cover non USA manufactures.

Are you trying to figure out how much to sell it for? Insure it? Just want to know?

This question gets thrown around a lot - and, to be honest, there is no way anybody can say "that kit's value is X dollars".

If you want to sell and don't know how much to ask, put it on eBay, start the bidding at 99 cents, and see where it goes. That will give you the value on that given day. Yesterday it could have sold for twice as much and tomorrow could be half - you never know with OOP kits.

The Doyusha kits are, generally, more in the collectors market than the builders as they are rather crude, motorized, and very toylike. I have sold some of the Dotusha kits for next to nothing and others went for more than I paid. I have no experience with your paticular kit, though.

try putting it on bid with a 22$ starter see how it goes, protect yourself with a reserve of 40 if you think users wont be bidding, give it a try.

Interesting thing about the drawing on the model box. It's a Japanese market version of the Mustang II. Note added turn lights under bumpers and the fender amber side light. Also in the rear there would be similar lights under that bumper for reverse lights. The back up lens in the car's tail lamp would get an amber bulb to replace the clear bulb and work with the amber lense above it. Interesting to note is the Japanese market version used LHD steering.

40 dollars is too steep, 15-20 dollars seems more realistic. considering the European market, 15-20 €uro's seems to be ok.

If you don't know what to sell it for, put it on eBay without reserve and let the market decide for themselves.

That is actually Argentine pesos, which would be about €86.

I often get confused when seeing outlandish prices for things online, then I check and convert currencies and sometimes it ends up not being so bad.
