3men2s Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 This is my latest project. Using a 06 mustang I want to make a pirelli jones 70 boss 302 look. I am using only old parts as part of my project. LOW BUDGET project, you can say.
JAFFA Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I liked the way you widened the rims, but arent there any marks in the chrome plating were the spokes were cut off?
3men2s Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 I liked the way you widened the rims, but arent there any marks in the chrome plating were the spokes were cut off? yeah!!!! you have to paint them, re chrome them, since this is a low budget a touch of chrome paint and i am off.
3men2s Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 or you can sand it down until you get rid of that area. you will lose 1/8 of the lip but still you will get that deep dish look.
Brendan Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I like the work you've done. It's going to look very cool when it's done. I'm not a big Ford fan, but I do like the stance, look of the car and the race trim. Have you seen the Mustang that is running in the Speed Vision GT Class? The drawing looks very similar, but not in that paint scheme.

I like the old school IMSA, CAMEL GT, SCCA ,Trans Am Series cars. and that's what I am trying to achieve. but with the modern body. I am even using an holley carbulator insted of the electronic injections. Thank you for your coment.
cruz Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Looks super cool mi pana, the stance is perfect............
Enzoenvy1 Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 or you can sand it down until you get rid of that area. you will lose 1/8 of the lip but still you will get that deep dish look. NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Just don't glue them together and use some Oven Off and take off the chrome. then clean and assemble them and repaint. You wont lose your lip and then you will have a better surface for paint to adhere to. Cool build by the way.
3men2s Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 THis are more picks on how is goin. This is a one month challenge with a friend, and also low budget from my part...cash is hard now. Found a telephone line and used the colored cables for my project. looking at it now, I may need to replace the ignition wires for smaller ones. What do you think? O just @#$% &%... next I will work on finishing the details in the chassie and interior. mount the tires and detail the wheels. and finally paint the body and do the Boss Stripes. aahhhhhhh out of breath.
Trans Am Erik Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Hey man, that thing is lookin GOOD! The body is shaping up nice, and I like the posable steering. good work
bigphoto Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Very nice so far, and I agree with the idea of replacing the ign. wires. but other than that it looks great.
