Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Well I got the idea to throw a hemi, dual exhaust, and a custom roll cage on a rubicon. Heres what I've got so far...
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 I plan in lowering it, adding slicks, slimming down the interior and possibly adding some fenders.
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Please continue. Right now I'm just waiting to get four 1/25 drag slicks, and another jeep kit. Right now I'm using a completed kit to mock everything up on.
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Very nice work so far... Thank you

Jeepgirl Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Curious to see how this one turns out, I will be following along. Looks like a neat idea.

Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Got some progress in lowering it. Hoping to get some slicks on it soon. I also cut some excess junk out. I removed the fuel tank from underneath and will pop it in the back seat like a fuel cell. Cut out a patch with sheet styrene for where the fuel tank was Plugged the holes in the body where the daimond plate trim would go. Cut the hood open too Edited November 6, 2013 by Mrdarkmonkey96
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Managed to fit the slicks on the original wheels to avoid the headache of attaching different wheels. I also got the stance just about right, and the exhaust still fits under the axles. Now to find a radiator and put in the firewall and engine
Chris guthro Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 4 wheel drive burnouts lol. Can smell the rubber now
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 4 wheel drive burnouts lol. Can smell the rubber now The best smell!
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Very different and very cool. Exactly why I did it! I wanted to build another one that I went all out on. I figured anyone can lift it and put bigger wheels, but how many people would put a hemi and drag slicks
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 That looks pretty wild, already..... Thanks!
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Been busy! Added the blower from a camara kit. I used the original belt setup for the 383 from the dart kit. I then took the belt setup for the blower, and cut it to blend into the 383. Can't even tell. I got the lines from an verizon phone charger that dodmt work. Had some white green red and black lines in it. You could use em for wires or hoses as they vary in size. Hood fits now that have of its gone II forgot to mention I transplated the dart gts firewall into the jeep. I also used a parts box starter as a brake booster Cut the fuel tank off the bottom and transplanted it up to after covering the whole with styrene. Cut out the huge center console hump and covered it with styrene.
Davewilly Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 looking pretty good. This is going to be pretty cool!
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 looking pretty good. This is going to be pretty cool! Thanks! I've got more in depth discussions of it on my YouTube channel if anyone's interested
Car Man Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 really cool with the 4x4 slicks... but that is not a hemi tho... really cool tho, really cool
