Thank you for the encouragement Carl !

Was going to shoot the last couple of coats of clear over the bmf which I have not done before so maybe I will after repainting I will finish the clearing then bmf the trim. This is not the first time that I have had to strip the paint & repaint. Its going to just set me back a bit on the build but I'll be fine since I still have quit a bit to go on this build.

Clear always makes paint stronger, and some like to clear bmf but down the road cleared foil will give trouble peal and non cleared foil won't...

Thank you all for the comments ! I have the body striped now and have given it a light sanding so Im just waiting for the body to dry so I can shoot some primer then see if it needs any filler & also going to shoot the under carriage & frame this evening.

Was able to primer the body etc. and also was able to get the under carriage & frame painted. Starting to get parts ready for front end assembly but will have to scratch build hub assembly's for front discs.

Here is a pic of the under carriage but keep in mind I still have to run the brake lines. Also have laid the paint on the front brake calipers & have the front spindles in primer & have the front end ready to go together except for the brake lines. The body is in primer & have cleaned up the blemishes so hopefully I will get to shoot on the color on this weekend. I also have been cleaning up the body lines on my next build while waiting on the paints to dry on the Bee.

Thank You for the encouragement John !

Not sure on the color yet on the ZR1 but was leaning towards Bright Red Tamiya paint & ordered carbon fiber decal sheet for the roof.

Looking forward to the next update Seth. Nice work so far, and , it's nice to see someone trying new things as they are building, I'll be watching the breakline work closely.

Some progress today on the front spindle assembly which has come together but before gluing I need to figure out where I will run the front brake lines. I should also be able to reshoot the paint sometime today.

I hope everyone had a great day building today!

I have made some progress today.I have mounted the front spindles so next will be running the brake lines then the calipers. Was also able to lay down the first coat of paint but after paint was somewhat dry I noticed that there are a few places on the body that needed attention before I lay down the red. I also finished up the dash & painted the transmission & cleared it.

Thank you all for following me on this build !

Just realized that I also need to make caliper brackets for the front calipers & fittings for the brake lines and redrill the calipers for the hard lines. This will be a easy fix but will set me back a bit also.

I have scratch built the front caliper backing plates /brackets & now will paint them & also redrilled the calipers and will have to touch them up also .

Was not happy with the backing plates/caliper brackets so I scratch built another set & painted them and they work great ! Also touched up the paint on the calipers so now I'm just waiting on the paint to dry then I will see where to run the lines.

Little more progress this evening. Was able to shoot the body with some silver and hopefully the final color in a day or so then decals and a few coats of clear.

Carl Thank You !
