_TRF_ Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 My Name is Michael and i'm from Austria. I've been in modelling since i was a boy back in the late 70ties. First i started plastik modelling and then followed by RC-Cars. As Tamiya-Freak i got about 70 RC-Cars and many NIB RC-kits. I used to race the Tamiya cars in the Tamiya-Cup series a few year ago, but since work and family took more time, there was no time left for serious RC-Car racing. So i started 1/18 and 1/24 car modelling and driving and racing Kyosho MiniZ. But Kyosho MiniZ always are RTR (ready to run) there was nothing left for modelling, so i started to combine them and make my own Kyosho MiniZ bodies. Mostly i took 1/24 kits, such as Tamiya Alfa Romeo Sprint GTA and rebuilt them as MiniZ Today i got 3 Alfa Romeo GTA Junior with homemade widened fenders, 1 Ford Escort MK1, 2 VW Karmann Ghia's racing, 1 Opel Commodore GS/E, 1 Renault 8 Gordini and 1 BMW 2002. Adapting the Kyosho MiniZ's wheelbase is sometimes a little difficult to fit the chassis to the body. The MiniZ's wheelbase can be modified from 86mm to 102mm within 4mm steps, so sometimes a little crafting is necessary. So that's engough for this time - please appologize for my English, but i'm native German speaker. All the best Michael
