wkennerley Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Hi All, was digging through my scraps box for something and came across this beach buggy which turns out to be 1/32 scale, my current interest - I would love to rebuild it and would like to hear from anyone who can either help with a copy if the instructions for the kit or any spare parts please - also open to any suggestions for a source of wheels (1/32 VW Beetle?) Thanks Wayne Edited November 12, 2013 by wkennerley
blunc Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 1/32 scale slot car wheels would be perfect for this if you're not going for exact "out of the box" rebuild. This is the first I've seen of a dune buggy in 1/32 scale other than the Baja racing style buggy that MPC release in their "fast ones" snap together line. It looks like your version is right-hand-drive so it's no surprise that I've never seen that kit.
wkennerley Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Hi Blunc, I will look at slot car wheels, not too fussed about exact out the box as so much is missing gotta find an engine somewhere - The kit is by Airfix wayne
Zarana-X Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Whether this is a street machine, or off-road buggy, nearly any 1/32 scale wheels should look appropriate.Neat buggy, btw. Never seen one in that scale. Looks like a Bugle: http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/decision-tree/BuggyId/?pointId-19=on
TimJ Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 It is a Bugle. I built one a couple of years ago. Wayne, I still have the instructions. If you want me to send you a copy let me know.
blunc Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I got a set of these to put on one of my various 1/32 scale projects: http://www.brshobbies.com/catalog.php/BRSHobbies/dt16206/pd2101321/Ninco_80752_ProRace_V.03_3_32__15__Wheels_2_
wkennerley Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Hi All, I have instructions now thanks - Now to find bits, does the 1/32 VW Beetle have an engine? Thanks for the wheels link Blunc Wayne Edited November 14, 2013 by wkennerley
Edsel-Dan Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 As much as I can remember, the Airfix kit did. I built 2 of the MPC boxed version MANY years ago Still have one of them somewhere.
