This same kit has been in AMT's lineup since the '60s, with minor changes. I think this (original?) issue even included a record:

You can get a good look at what's inside the kit by looking at this one on eBay now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-1968-Ford-Shelby-GT-500-Mustang-Unbuilt-Orig-Issue-w-Record-Super-Snake-68-/251372242030?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3a86f4046e

It's a 3'n'1 kit, with some info on the side of the box:

Look at the price of this, some of those promos go for that much! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Chrysler-Imperial-Conv-Promo-graded-9-out-of-10-13595-/171156489612?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item27d9b8c58c But for the Shelby kit i have it in their latest lime green molding edition, it seems like a great round2 kit today and i am sure the quality of the US made 90s kit might be better because of the white plastic like people have mentioned before easier to paint than the green plastic but both work.
