For that 1/8 replica, what did you use to paint the radiator shell with. That looks nice.thanks

Jody……..It was shot with Chrome Alclad…….then I shot Alclad Kandy Lemmon over the Chrome Alcald…….the headlight rings are also painted that way.

Sorry, sometimes when using my phone, it will put in what it wants. If I don't prof read it, it gets away with it. That was supposed to be tires and rims... three times changing it this time to get it right.... sorry... thanks

The tires are from the old Monogram kit…….and I modified the rims…….the outer part of the rim is from a 1/8 Corvette wheel and center of the rim was from the Lindberg kit I believe…………here is the WIP link…….

Nice job on that bashing. I was actually referring to the other John on the little t though. Wouldn't it be great if some one could scale up small scale parts into the larger scales though.

Man...that "Little T" kit is pretty. If that was available now, with all the interest in retro and period, it'd sell a bunch. Damm, that's a nicely proportioned thing.

And Mr.Teresi's 1/8 car is always a treat for the eyes. One of the most real-looking models I've ever seen. Man, that's fine, fine work.

Inspiration abounds. :)

None better, IMHO. Here are some images you all might find interesting:

If I recall correctly, in 1964 Monogram commissioned Darryl Starbird to design the 1:1 upon which the kit was to be based.

The kit allowed additional variations:

Here's an exploded view of the parts from the original instructions - a treasure trove!

Here are parts no longer included or changed in the recent versions:

T-STAR!

Here is my version of an 8th scale Big T. I used 12th scale Ferrari Testarossa Parts to modify it.

Although both of those t buckets are nice builds, and I can see good skills in them, neither one fits the late 50s and early 60s style of bulls I am looking for. Thanks. The testerosa one I have seen before. Lots of good work. So don't get me wrong, they are nice builds. Just not the kind of inspiration I'm looking for right now. Thanks.
