BluePopsicle Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I started this post quite a while ago and came back to add to it and it was gone. Instead of re-posting all sorts of updates I've decided to link to my album. I started this project with a certain look in mind and it's just turned into a total PIA. At this point, I can't wait for this car to be done so I can move on. I value all input and criticism as you all are experts compared to me. Enoy! Click here for slideshow.
Jantrix Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 The problem with just linking the album is that this thread will not refresh when you update the album. So without your updates the thread will disappear quickly and no one sees the work.
BluePopsicle Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 I just wanted to post the album so I wouldn't have to add 30ish pics to this forum. =p I'll still put updates here though. Should only have one more though. This thing is ready for Clear and detail work.
PappyD340 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 NICE, I love those wheels, color ain't bad either!!
ssroczyn Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Nice Job So Far!! I do like that color as well, can you share what it is? Based on the pics above, I'm about at the very same spot you are with the one that I'm building. And after going through the slide show on it it looks like we've had the same type of battles with this kit. I think this kit is like taking a belt test in karate!! In my opinion I love the car but the kit itself is not done well at all. Yet, as a model builder I feel compelled to build it just to say it can be done!! Maybe when I am finished, I'll post some pics of it. There should be a thread dedicated to just this kit so we can see everyone's attempt to do battle with it. Good job so far, can't wait to see it when it's finished! Steve
BluePopsicle Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Thanks Carl and Larry, I appreciate the kind words. Nice Job So Far!! I do like that color as well, can you share what it is? Thank you Steve! The color is SinfulColors Professional nail polish "Under 18". I love using this kind of nail polish because the colors are just amazing. You're right, this kit is a beast. I would love to see a thread just on this car alone. I think it would be fun to see how everyone tackles it.
moparfan1 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Jon - the color looks great and I think the build is looking good. Those wheels are looking great! I must agree with those that have posted about it being a tough build. I just finished building this kit a few weeks ago and it fought me nonstop.

BluePopsicle Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 I'm waiting to clear this till my '32 street rod is finished so I can clear both of them at the same time.
BluePopsicle Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Finally! This nightmare of a build is as finished as it's going to get. It's not perfect, but that's ok. I'm no master modeler and I actually completed this horrible kit. I believe that in itself is an achievement. I really hope you all enjoy the following pictures. Thanks for looking!
BluePopsicle Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Windshield got all cloudy and looks really bad. Oh well
