mr.camaro Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Just a nice simple build to take the edge off the bigger projects. Great kit imo better than the tamiya kit for 20$ less. Edited November 27, 2013 by mr.camaro
mr.camaro Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Thanks Lee. Hopefully have an update this afternoon.
PappyD340 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Real NICE Kyle, I like your color choice!!
Tom Geiger Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Are the engine wires part of the kit? They look like it in your photo. I will be getting three of this kit... you know why! And I'm really happy Revell imported these in US boxes. Beats having to pay for the Revell of Germany release!
Jordan 191 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Mine won't be done NEARLY as nicely, but your build is gonna sell extra copies of this kit. Very good!
Davewilly Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Nice...and thanks for the mini review also
mr.camaro Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Tom yes the wires are box stock. I would put this in my top 5 nicest out of the box models. Thanks everyone else for the kind words.
Eshaver Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Does anyone know if a Left hand steering wheel is available . I'd like to do a U S version of a vintage Mini ...............
mr.camaro Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Ed-This kit offers both columns and us or euro spec badging.
Zarana-X Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I will be getting three of this kit... you know why! "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" The kit looks great, but I still have 3 Tamiyas to build, but for other reasons. I have two of the racing cars, and the Monte Carlo rally car.
mr.camaro Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Made some progress today, got the inner fenders in, finished up the small engine parts, and got the engine glued in. Im hoping with any luck to have this under glass this weekend along with my club community build. all comments and criticisms welcome!
Guest Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Nothing you did, but the kit wires look too big for my tase, if I ever get this kit, and I hope to, I will use my own wires.
Erik Smith Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Looking great. I like the green color and the combo on the interior. One thing I noticed about the kit is either the valve cover is too small or the head is too big - there shouldn't be that much head showing under the cover. Here is a real engine for comparison:
mr.camaro Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Just a small update got most of the chrome put on and painted the radiator support and hood seal.
