Taiyri Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Hey everybody, just getting into modeling again after dabbling in it a little more in my adolescent years. I figure now that I'm in my 20s I can afford to spend some more time and money on really making some cool stuff. Currently working on getting an acceptable area set up where I can paint and piece these models together. Unfortunately the only real usable rooms for me are in the basement but none of them have very good ventilation and I'd like to get started airbrushing. Am I stuck having to put together a paint booth right away or can I just kind of squeak by with a mask and water based paints for a bit?
Casey Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Welcome, John...and I thought it was referred to as "Rapid"? I would still suggest using an exhaust fan even if you're using water-based paints. A good exhaust fan and booth are one of the first and best tools you can have in your modeling arsenal.

Usually it is, but I try not to sound like I live here since I'll be moving in a few months. Thanks for the tip. I'll figure something out then.
