70mach1 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 This was the first issue Aerovette by Monogram. This is kit is about 10 years old. It was a fun kit, painting and installing the glass takes a lot of TLC, but it's worth the effort. I wired and plumbed the engine, added throttle linakge and fuel line, scratch built the distributor cap (the kit cap was too small to drill for the wires). Refinished in Krylon dull aluminum spray, tinted with a drop of titanium metalizer. Clear coated with DuPont urethane clear. The kit decals were trash so I left them off.
robertw Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Looks good. I like the engine detailing. I built this one when it first came out and I remember it being a tricky kit to build if you want to totally eliminate both front and rear belt line seams. RobW
ismaelg Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Cool build! That kit is a bit challenging. Thanks,
Gregg1LE Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I've never thought much of that car, but you did great work on it and I'm sure your model looks better than the original car !
