gtx6970 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 So far so good, and just as an FYI, the wheelbase of the chassis is these mustangs doesn't match the wheelbase of the body if that matters to you
lower99 Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Thank you bill, and thank you for the Information!

1stevep25 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Good work so far, Jonas. You do have the valve covers on the correct sides. The sloped end is toward the rear. The front has a more square shape to allow room for the cam timing chain inside. If you are planning to do the ignition wires, the spark plugs are located between the bumps along the top edge of the valve covers. The Polar Lights/Round 2 valve covers are a little "soft" on detail. If you want a more accurate part, check out Calnaga Castings (www.calnaga.com). It's probably too late for your build to use different valve covers, but check out the pictures anyway to see the spark plug hole locations. Happy Modeling, Steve Perry/Calnaga Castings
lower99 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 @Carl: Thank you very much! @Steve: Tahnk you so much too! Thank you for the Information about the valve covers! I´ve seen that it looks strange, but that was the only position how it fitted! The instruction sheet isnt drawn very detailed, so it doesnt help! The details on the covers are OK, not the best. Thank you to the link to your site, it helps more than the instruction sheet in the kit. It wouldnt be too late for new valve covers, but im from Germany, and the expenditure to order sth. in USA is so big for so little parts (tariff, german value added tax,.......) My Dragster wont be as detailed as your ones, great work! I wish you all a happy new year! Cheers!
