LeadFred
I would like to order a Ross Gibson engine in resin for a Pro Mod. Then i would like to build it with Turbo chargers. And TDR offers a great Turbo Ch... But you can choose from 3" or 3.5" or 4.5" in 1/25 scale.. What size should i use. Fred
MachinistMark
Turbos are typically sized in milimeters just research the turbo setup you want to replicate, take whatever size in inches and convert it to mm (inches x 25.4) , and use the one closest. MeatMan
I'm doing a similar setup which shows using a "Pair of Precision Turbo 94mm Pro Mods" on a Mike Moran hemi. My converter program has that as 3.7 inches, so the 3.5" shouldn't be out of scale. Those are the ones I'm planning on going with.
ScaleDale
Gibson engines tend to be oversized, so take that into consideration. Here are two BOSS 429 Fords, the one on the left is a Ross Gibson and the other is a Revell from the 70 BOSS Mustang kit. Dale
MeatMan
Wow, didn't know that. I have the engine but haven't started the project yet. Now you have me thinking. Hmmm.
mnwildpunk
I think don't quote me on this but aren't the Gibson engines 1/24th
