Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I got this from a friend, and some parts are missing. can anyone tell if I can still build this, even though some parts are missing? Ive never see one of these before... also? how the heck do I build it?!?
Tom Geiger Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I've never seen that one before, but it appears that there are tops that allow for a 4 - 6 or 8 cylinder. Still with all those time little parts I think it's way overkill.

Casey Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 It looks like all parts are present, save for maybe one on the right side. Most of the smaller pieces are plug wire loom parts, so the distributor, the distributor "hat", the hold down clamp, and on of the larger rings (maybe supposed to represent the lip on which the hold down clamp rests?), should be all you need to use it.

So I simply glue the circle with the holes for the wires, directly to the top of the distributor? I was thinking it was all a small itty bitty model of a distributor that all snapped together... thats why I was so confused
Kris Morgan Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 You could make life easier and order a prewired distributor from here www.madmodeling.com Just sayin.

Erik Smith Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 The kit above is only missing three of the cap clamps.
Mrdarkmonkey96 Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 The kit above is only missing three of the cap clamps. are the clamps needed or just for looks??
my80malibu Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 are the clamps needed or just for looks?? The clamps are basically just for looks. You could easily enough sub a part of the Photo etched tree, and make it work.
