Jefbo Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I allways have a bunch of models working at the same time. This is what I was working on today. I don't know what resin kit it is. It was a surprise in a kit box from a collection I bought. It had a chop but I decided it needed more attitude so I gave it a little more of an angle chop. I also opened doors and roof. I started it about a year ago inspired by a blue car I saw in a magazine. I just repainted it after being inspired by a car I saw recently in a magazine Jefbo
Dr. Cranky Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Oh, man, I love it . . . the pictures are a little burry, but the model kicks @#$! And you are in Miami Beach . . . very cool. I'm over in Key Biscayne . . . great to know there are other rat rod fanatics in South Florida! Very cool build, buddy. Congrats.
Jefbo Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Oh, man, I love it . . . the pictures are a little burry, but the model kicks @#$! And you are in Miami Beach . . . very cool. I'm over in Key Biscayne . . . great to know there are other rat rod fanatics in South Florida! Thanks for the kind words. Sorry about the blurry photos, I captured them with my video camera. It's not the same. I’ll retake and post better photos soon. I was admiring your monster Merc yesterday and completely missed the Key Biscayne part. I love rat rods, and there are a couple of guys in my model car club that build incredible rat rods. In one of our model car shows recently, one of the theme classes was rat rods. Rat rod by Allen R. Rat Rod by Jose F I hope to get a chance to see you work in person some day soon. Jefbo
Dr. Cranky Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Hi, Jeffrey . . . yeah, man, if you guys ever decide to put a South Florida/Miami model car club together, let me know . . . I am sure there are a few more builders in the area . . . a few years ago, the owner of a now-defunct hobby shop in Kendal (SW 117th street) put together a couple of shows and lots of people showed up. Keep me posted, and keep building great rides . . . Oh, and just to clarify, that Monster Merc is not mine but my friend Jim Fernandez who lives in Utah.

Hi Virgil, Yes we do have a model car club in the area, and I would be more then happy to give you all the info you need. We meet twice a month in Broward County. We also have unofficial meetings every Thursday night "Thursday Night Crash and Burn" here on the beach at my house. We sit around the dinning room table talking cars and building models. Just a small group of about 3 to 5 guys, but lots of fun. I just joined this board and I'm learning on the fly how to do things. I just started a Fotki account and will be building that as I go also. My next goal is to learn how to post photos from my Fotki site without having to upload it to the forum site. Feel free to e-mail me if you wamt me to give you more club info or I could call you if you wish. Jefbo
dub Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Very cool Tudor. I just finished a Phaeton and I'm doing one of those next. These rats are addictive, aren't they? I can't wait to see more of yours.
jbwelda Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 wow, thats very cool and it looks like you got the doors to fit real well. i see a little of the lil coffin in the body but maybe its the angle of the top chop. thats really looking good.
Jefbo Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 Hi George, You wrote: Do have other types of models or is rat rods your only style, love to see other eye candy keep up the good work. Thanks, I do build other stuff. You might say I'm all over the place. I build a little bit of everything. Funny you say eye candy; my background is in painting (Fine Art & Custom Auto) so I tend to find myself putting flames or graphics on most things I build. I find my paint tends to over shadow some of my modeling skill shortcomings. I just started a Fotki account and need to start putting some stuff up. Here's a few samples. jefbo
FloridaBoy Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hey Jeff, See you tonight. I will be there, fresh in from North Carolina. The 32 Sedan is even better than the "first version" which I thought was already fantastic. Ken "FloridaBoy" Willaman
