Very nice build up!...I have one of those but there was no rear bumper in the kit...bummer! I like the resin one but there is just no way Id ever be able to justify or in the first place afford that for one...yikes!

Compare these front ends. They changed the front end structure after '73, and JoHan just squished a '75 grille into the '73 opening. The front bumper is a 1973 bumper, not a '75. I'm surprised no one has noticed this. If you want this style of Cutlass, the '73 is the only decent one.

I have a couple of unbuilt ones, as well as a White promo, which I intend to do something with. I have a set of Fred Cady '74 Hurst Olds decals, as one of mine was going to be a '74 H/O.

WOW, 149.95 for a curbside resin kit that needs donor parts and clean up. That is more than steep price wise.

Thats the old price. You don't even want to know how much they want now. It was only 75-80 bucks when they first introduced it.

You are correct about the grill. It is completely wrong.

All Johan did was alter the 74 and 75 front grills for the 73 body. The rest of the body is nice except for the light details for the back panel and marker lights. The seat pattern is all together wrong. It's not correct for 73 either. 73-74 promos are still available on ebay all the time. Johan made a limited run of decals for the dash and light details. The 73,74 and 75 grills are all incorrect for a 442 or Hurst/Olds. 73 used the same 442 emblems as 69-72. The 74-75 used differrent ones that are 74-75 only. So a 442/Hurst/Olds hood along with a detailed dash and correct grills would be nice. New decal sets would be nice also.

I've found the AMT/MPC chassis works the best for these but thats just me.

Wait a minute, the resin caster wants more than the 149 for the same kit now?

That's nuts. Is it cast out of sterling silver? Who buys them at that price? And lastly do they build themselves or do I actually have to build it after buying the kit?
