PappyD340 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 A truely sad loss, an obviously Don will be totally lost without her!!
Modelmartin Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 They were married 59 years! I think she was older than 61. Very sad but she had a long and rich life.
rmvw guy Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 She was truly the love of his life, stuck with him through thick and thin. It is a great story if you haven't read it I would highly recommend it to anyone. R.I.P. Pat.
slusher Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Very sad. 59 years is a long time. its hard to imagine how he feels.
ScaleDale Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 The story is that he finally quit racing at her request. That says a lot for the bond between them. Rest in peace. Dale

Custom Hearse Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Thanks Casey. I was still trying to wake up when I posted the thread. I got to meet her 1 time when I went to the museum She was in the gift shop, and was a really sweet lady. My condolences to her husband and family... A truly sad day. R.I.P. Pat.
mnwildpunk Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I met her and him once at MN back to the 50's I think it was 02-03ish and they walked by my dodge holding each others hand and I sort of stalked them for a bit cause I didn't know if they would mind being bothered super nice people I talked with them for a few minutes. she was very sweet and asked which car was mine. I was embarassed to say which one. Very sad to hear my heart goes out to Don because you could tell there was a strong bond there. I still don't know if they were part of a booth or just at the show.
