Russell C Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I was alerted to the show by a relative after the bit aired, but I found the online version here: Antiques Roadshow, Detroit, Michigan | Hour 2 (after the obligatory advertisement, of course) Pull the time slider over to the 22 minute 55 second spot at the video link above, that's where the TV host goes over to the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum to see these models.
pharoah Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I saw that last night. Got my attention! He said there was a sedan version of the 1/4 coupe that had sold recently for $35,000! I want one!
1930fordpickup Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 A local Toy Collector has a few of these from different Manufactures . They are awesome. I was asked to work on a 36 Chevy but I was nervous because of the value. I said no.
ZTony8 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 In the book "Ford At Fifty" there is at least one picture with several of those plaster models in it.It's a pity most were broken up and discarded-they're beautifully done.

Yeah,I've wondered about that. To them,(all auto makers)they were just a color sample to see how the car would look. And because they were new-cars that hadn't been released yet-they didn't want the competition to see them,so they were trashed. Too bad. I'm glad some of them made it out.
