The next step was to attach the rear section of the car. I used liquid glue to melt it on then sanded and filled with 3m acryl blue and then finished it off.

Here is are some SICK pictures that may help you in the detailing department. It looks good so far.

Hi Rex, is that your car!! Nice. This model is a curbside so nothing really to show for engine details. Those are some very nice pics, I will most certainly use them for the next build. Thank you for sharing :)

check out my short tutorial on making filler from styrene steve......it works great instead of using putty. nothing wrong with putty, but when im doing something larger i try to use my melted sytrene technique...

heres a link to it, sorry for the margins, i have to fix it.

Hi Bryan, Ive been using that technique for a good 7-8 years. It works really good for seam work on alot of the aircraft I do. The fit on the backside was very nice so I used some Tenax7r to melt and squish the fit. I usually use the same plastic from the build Im workiing with, its just a color thing. There is a new putty filler out there from Sherwin Williams, they use it to fill seams on real commercial jets. I tried to get ahold of them to obtain a sample, but havent had any luck yet, I do know it works on plastics. The name is Fill bond. Always trying new materials.
